Elzed Now Licensed by PlatformSince its first release, Elzed's licensing model has been of the usual "one license per developer" sort. I decided, however, that this doesn't reflect the way that Elzed is actually used--virtually all of my customers embed Elzed in a single product. Even so, Elzed has been licensed more like a developer tool, tied to the number of developers a customer has. Well, no more.
Effective immediately, Elzed will be licensed by platform, rather than by seat. So, instead of buying a license for each of their developers, customers will now buy a license for each platform they develop on. Individual licenses for Windows, MacOSX, and Linux are available, with discounted licenses for multiple platforms.
Other features of our licenses remain as they were: no royalties, no renewal or maintenance fees, and free updates forever.
